Karl Lagerfeld may be on the outs…[Updated]
March 15, 2010 by J.T.

Tommy Ton‘s recent mysterious tweet about news that will “SHAKE the fashion world” might be a direct follow up at what Diane Pernet said in June 2009. As of today Diane Pernet described the news as a bomb. Grazia thinks that Tommy Ton’s big secret is about Karl Lagerfeld being replaced by Albert Elbaz at Chanel. “The official announcement should be made in the next few days, so stay tuned for confirmation!” (Grazia).
[UPDATED] Chanel has confirmed that Karl “has a long-term contract” and replacing him “is not an issue”. Move along people…

Holy shit! If this is true, it’s gonna really shake up fashion and for the better. No one wants a friggin’ old hag like KL leading a company that needs to be younger, fresher than the competition. I hope this is all true!
Good effing riddance! Chanel’s been boring as shit lately and one’s cared about them in a hot minute. I wanna see clothes that I can actually wear and lots of mens gear too.
I kinda had a feeling this was coming. KL may be leaving because quite frankly, he’s an old guy (like 80 or something?) I’m sure they’ll give him a nice severance package, Depends Diapers, and some Metamucil.
Karl Lagerfeld is boring I think he should go. The iceberg at the Chanel fall 2010 show was tacky and put the global warming on the side cause Karl brought the iceberg to “bring an iceberg” it has nothing to do with global warning.
According to nymag.com and Vogue.co.uk, Karl is still in. Viva Le Kaiser!
