Prada Fall Winter 2011 Backstage Beauty

Thursday February 24th, 2011 – via Fogazzaro, 36

At today’s Prada Fall Winter 2011 show in Milan, Redken Creative Consultant Guido created a controlled naturally textured ponytail clipped with a barrette at the nape of the neck.  Guido explains the look as a “nod to Catherine Deneuve in the 60s very girly, very young, exuding innocent sophistication.”

Get the Look:
Create two parts each above the brow and section away a small section of hair at the top of the head. Pull all the hair back and secure with a long silver barrette right at the base of the neck for a flat pulled back ponytail -texturize the pony a bit using forceful 23 to create a natural texture -pull out 1 inch  pieces just in front of the ears and let hang naturally. Cut these pieces to just at shoulder length if needed.
Spray forceful 23 into your hands and work sectioned off piece back to meet with the ponytail but not secured into the barrette. Pin this top section at back of head to hold until ready to go out. Continue layering generous amounts of forceful to keep the top section in place and pulled back away from forehead. Just before you are ready to go out, remove the clip holding the top section and spritz with even more forceful 23.
