Nicolas Ghesquiere believes in the importance of the video, “It’s important to be able to show things in movement.” Balenciaga has released a behind-the-scenes video filmed by Kate Elson from the Balenciaga Fall 2011 shoot. Styled by Marie-Amelie Sauve and shot by Steven Meisel, the video shows footage of Liya Kebede, Liisa Winkler, and Julia Nobis in a New York studio and a Harlem church. Balenciaga.com will be relaunch this week , it will feature 200 videos (and more than 3,000 photographs). A short film by Meisel, showcasing the Balenciaga Resort 2012 collection, is due to go live on the site shortly.
