Louis Vuitton Pre-Fall 2010 Look Book

If Louis Vuitton has its way, next fall, Pocahontas-chic will be the ‘look du jour’. Inspired from classic Navajo patterns and married to soft, warm textures, the renown French maison Pre-Fall 2010 that will let you show off a little skin but still keep you toasty from the cold. From fur guetres and cashmere high knee high socks to classic LV Cashmere throws used as capes, the collection will leave many swooning for these luxury and comforting pieces.

Suede and leather fringed Jackie-O dresses, college striped belts on a cashmere cardigan are perfect to “french up” your private school uniform. College stripes are also shown on the high knee socks and on the seam and handles of these athletic, slouchy inspired monogrammed bags.

The classic plaid shirt gets an update for 2010 and becomes a dress with monogramed trim. The shearling boots will keep you warm and you can opt for a fox mini poncho add-on for extra cozyness.

Julie de Libran, who designs the pre-collections and the resort collections explained that her goal was to mix past and present, keeping up with the tradition while offering a modern colllection.

I like the “guetres” (somehow legwarmers in english doesn’t sound as cool) but some of this is a bit too 60’s for me. It’s like Galliano had a hand in this. Not a fan of the fringes – eek, I still have some fugly fringe stuff in my closet from college. Love the cape though.

Who styled this? Rachel “OMFG” Zoe? Sooooo not my style. I could easily see this in like some little no-name, no-one-cares vintage boutique on Sunset blvd. Try harder LV.
