Ralph Lauren Fall Winter 2011 Collection

Ralph Lauren, worldwide reknown american symbol presented a Fall Winter 2011 collection that made us travel somewhere else. Considered as one of the most respected and classic designers of all times, Ralph Lauren told reporters that he is not afraid to take risks.

The Fall/Winter 2011 Collection shown in New York City on Thursday, February 17th, was influenced by a mix of the 1930’s, Art Deco and Chinoiserie.

Colors dominating the runway included a large mix of black and red, greens, shades of amethyst, jade and ruby and metallics.

Luxurious leather was the prominent material in a tight form-fitting dress, short jacket and knee-length trench coat. Traditional pencil skirts were paired with black, white and green silk blouses.

A purple knee-length coat finished in black fur at the wrists and the collar was certainly spectacular adding bright color to the runway.

A evening dress displayed intricate lace dragon embroidery, seen also multicolored on brown coat. It was Shangai in Paris or in New York in the 30’s, the atmosphere brought the audience to another era.
