Maison Martin Margiela for H&M Ad Campaign

Every season, H&M offers consumers the ability to get a taste of a famed luxury brand at truly accessible prices. For Fall, the Swedish-based mass retailer teamed up with renown French design house Martin Margiela to release a one-of-a-kind mens and women’s capsule collection that embodies the latter’s DNA whilst keeping to the former’s price point strategy.

You might’ve already heard the fashion house’s name thrown loosely around in quite a few rap songs, but its notoriety for its transformative and unconventional aesthetics are as far away from the mainstream as can be. Working as a team, rather than as an individual, the house that Margiela built doesn’t follow the fashion norms per se, but it somehow forges its own distinct design narrative that makes it the ‘snowflake’ of the Parisian fashion scene; an uniquely beautiful anomaly that never ceases to amaze buyers and critics.

Working with this design pedigree, H&M’s creative director Margareta van den Bosch was able to play with volume, shape, and unconventional ideas to design a truly high-end collection that will certainly win over buyers. Hand glove handbags, leather shirts, guitar-shaped weekender bags, slim-fit hourglass jackets, and duvet coats are instantly recognizable peerless pieces. Priced between $39.95 to $399, the collection offers shoppers with a diverse range of opportunities to own a piece of the French fashion house’s most famed wares, with each piece’s inside tag noting the season from which it was inspired from.

The Maison Martin Margiela for H&M collection will hit store shelves this November 15th. Check out the ad campaign photos shot by Sam Taylor-Johnson below for a sneak peek at what’s to come.
