Yesterday, Louis Vuitton celebrated its“Timeless Muses”with the grand opening of its eponymous exhibition at the emblematic Tokyo Station Hotel. This was the first time this landmark building was entirely privatized for a brand event.
Hosted by Michael Burke, Chairman and CEO of Louis Vuitton and Frédéric Grangié, President and CEO of Louis Vuitton Japan, the cocktail welcomed world acclaimed icons Catherine Deneuve and Kate Moss who both dazzled on the red carpet.
Louis Vuitton executives Emmanuel Prat, Chairman of Louis Vuitton Japan, Frédéric Winckler,Communications and events activities director, Kim Jones, Men’s Style Director and Patrick-Louis Vuitton, Head of special orders, welcomed Japanese and international celebrities including Rinko Kikuchi, Yoshino Kimura, Ryoko Yonekura, Rila Fukushima, Ai Tominaga, Hidetoshi Nakata, Tadanobu Asano, Princess Tenko, Poppy Delevingne, Elisabeth von Thurn und Taxis, Langley Fox Hemingway and Françoise Sagan’s son
Guests enjoyed a breakthrough exhibition using ‘immersive digital technology’ inviting visitors to discover the “Timeless Muses” of Louis Vuitton -fascinating women who inspire us with their way of life and their spirit of freedom.
Empress Eugénie, Charlotte Perriand, Françoise Sagan, Catherine Deneuve, Kate Moss and Sofia Coppola: all of them have seen the world through a different pair of eyes and approached life with audacity and a sense of freedom. They changed the fact of femininity by moving lines and inspired Louis Vuitton in many ways.
The exhibition opening was followed by a promenade in the Tokyo Station Hotel. Guest wandered in spaces and enjoyed surprising and emotion-driving animations that culminated in DJ sets by Moru, Gildas Loaëc and VERBALl in a nightclub ambiance curated by André.
