First Look: Louis Vuitton Cosmic Blossom Feat Daisy Lowe
February 15, 2010

Always reinventing itself Louis Vuitton delivers a new collaboration with Takashi Murakami. After the success of the Monogram Cerise, Eye Love Monogram,Monogramouflage and Monogram Multicolore, Louis Vuitton presents Cosmic Blossom.

With Cosmic Blossom, Takashi Murakami’s vision has – quite literally – found a new canvas for expression. On a bright, block colour background, Louis Vuitton’s iconic Monogram flowers jostle playfully with smiling flower faces, a recurrent theme in Murakami’s art, which famously fuses manga graphics with traditional Japanese pictorial motifs. It’s impossible not to smile back!

Fun, frivolous and cute, Cosmic Blossom comes in three gorgeously girly shades on leather goods, ready-to-wear and accessories. For leather goods, Louis Vuitton has developed a silkscreen-printed vinyl canvas, whose glossy finish effortlessly makes the transition from city to beach. A convenient holdall in two sizes is joined by the iconic Pochette Accessoires and emblazoned with a heritage Louis Vuitton signature.

Cosmic Blossom crops up too on T-shirts and scarves, bandanas and bikinis, lighting up summer days with its irrepressible high spirits and irresistible candy colours. The photoshoot took place in Miami featuring Fashion Icon Daisy Lowe.

“ Louis Vuitton is an amazingly well made, classic, chic and beautiful brand … I have been a huge fan of Takashi Murakami work for a long time, his work with Louis Vuitton is so playful and exciting.” Daisy.

The limited-edition Cosmic Blossom collection is available in Louis Vuitton stores from 15th April 2010.

Lutz Spring Summer 2010 Accessories
January 11, 2010

For its Spring Summer 2010, LUTZ designed a line of accessories that is inspired by his ready-to-wear collection named « Storm »: a series of handbags and shoes that are inspired by the movement of garments in the air, darted, wind swept, torn.
The collection of bags includes two hand bags in full-grain leather that are worn on the shoulder and two clutch bags in fine lambskin. They present multiple pleats and loose and audacious curves that refer to the natural movements of the body and fill out the silhouette.

After 2 successful shoe collections “LUTZ by Robert Clergerie”, Lutz and shoemaker Robert Clergerie continue to collaborate for Spring Summer 2010.

This limited edition shoe collection includes three pairs of leather sandales, going from flat over semi high to a high heeled pair. They are developed with the same idea: a fine or large strap that envelopes the foot and the ankle in one mouvement.
The LUTZ accessories are available worldwide in multibrand boutiques that distribute LUTZ and online on YOOX.COM
Marchesa Unveils Handbags Line
September 2, 2009

Marchesa will unveil its first accessories collection at the Spring Summer 2010 presentation on Sept 16 at The Chelsea Art Museum in New York. The Collection count 28 pieces that will retail from from $995 to $5,000 for an exotic skin. Each piece is as elaborate as as the brand’s dresses, with such details as beading, pleating and corsetry.
“We had never done accessories,” said co-founder and designer Georgina Chapman, who founded Marchesa with Keren Craig. “So we thought, ‘Let’s approach it the way we approach a dress.’”

There are elements of jewelry in the collection as well. The handles are beaded and incorporate crystals, and every bag in the line is topped off with a hand-cut rock crystal. All the beading is done in India, but the bags are made by hand in Italy.

The handbags coordinate with the mainline dresses (the company also has a lower-priced special occasion dress line called Notte by Marchesa), but Chapman said they could be worn from day to night.
“Some people don’t always have an occasion for a gown,” said Chapman. “You could wear these with jeans and a T-shirt.”
Rihanna Alexander Wang Brenda Chain Bag
August 7, 2009

I was curious to see how this bag would appear in the street after having seen it at the Alexander Spring Summer 2009 Show. It’s sometimes easy to project some runway pieces but I wouldn’t think it would look so cool.
Here is the picture that I took at the show, bad angle because you don’t see the girl but you get the idea.

Alexander Wang introduced bags & shoes for the first time at the spring 2009 show, I really loved the bags. Hopefully the produced bags are identical as you can see comparing both pictures, which is not always the case. Sometimes you see some clothes or accessories on the runway and 6 months later you see that the bag or the accessory has a different shape or texture.
I love this bag’s vintage look, the leather is so smooth. I also like how Rihanna carried it like a smoochy clutch. Visit NET-A-PORTER.COM to see the Alexander Brenda Bag in black.

Sienna Miller Yves Saint Laurent Besace Flap Bag
August 6, 2009

Sienna Miller is in New York right now promoting her latest movie GI Joe. She’s been spotted arriving at her hotel carrying one of my favorite Yves Saint Laurent Bag the Becase Medium Flap Bag in “Anthracite” with shiny brass hardware. The textured leather is so soft that it feels like suede, the shiny brass is the perfect match for this light grey colored bag.
One of my friend purchased a smaller version when it came out in the fall 2007 and I always loved it, at the time I took some pictures of it not knowing I will ever post them. At the time the entire line of bag using this croc leather was sold out.

I like the color, it goes with everything, the faux croc and the messenger luxe style . Both outfits show that this bag is very versatile as you can carry it in summertime like Sienna Miller did and also with a more Autumn outfit just like my Parisian friend (pictured).

July 28, 2009

For the Fall Winter 2009 Serge Cajfinger for PAULE KA has created a new bag with a quite familiar name the “Yes we KA!” making reference to the Obama’s slogan “Yes We Can”.
Not only Optimistic and positive by its name this new PAULE KA bag is what we need to start the winter. Perfect size, organic color that will go perfectly with our September tan.
Elegant and practical, fun and methodical, charismatic and functional. We love the classic flap shape with the twist gold & silver chain.
The “Yes we KA!” from PAULE KA comes in crocodile-look leather along with taupe, caramel and brown.

Deauville Villa Vuitton Store Opening
June 4, 2009

On Mai April 30 2009 Louis Vuitton re-opened its Louis Vuitton Deauville store in Normandie, France. The store has been reshaped and even received a new name: the Villa Vuitton.

Limited Edition Louis Vuitton Deauville Neverfull
Louis Vuitton celebrated the opening but also the 20th anniversary of Louis Vutton presence in Deauville. “Deauville is to Paris what the Hamptons are to New York” brags Hugues Bonnet-Masimbert, Directeur Général of Louis Vuitton France.
“Deauville is one of many france’s luxurious getaway such as St Tropez, St Morritz… The context, the atmosphere is ideal for our brand”, declared Antoine Arnault.

The 960-square-foot boutique is typical of Normandy architecture and carries accessories and leather goods over two floors. The store decoration reflect the spirit of travel, Louis Vuitton modernity and tradition.
Antoine Arnault has had the pleasure to cut the inauguration ribbon in company of french actor Antoine de Caunes and his wife Daphne Roulier.

To celebrate the opening Louis Vuitton launched a limited edition Neverfull bag with “Deauville” written in purple on the front with matching interior stripes. The Louis Vuitton “Deauville” Neverfull is only available at the Villa Vuitton in Deauville.

Louis Vuitton Mon Monogram, My Very Own Monogram
June 2, 2009

Louis Vuitton Mon Monogram Speedy,Keepall & Pegase. Photos/Style: Carlyne Cerf De Dudzeele.
Louis Vuitton has always been an expert when it comes to travelling in luxury. And over the years, LV has extended that craftsmanship to produce a vast array of fine leather goods, adding a touch of chic to every imaginable accessory one would ever need.
Take for example the Louis Vuitton Speedy bag and the Keepall travel bag, these two classic bags have become iconic luxury staples that everyone simply wants and needs. And while these two iconic bags have been around for quite some time, they still tend to attract the most attention, especially since they’re often re-invented by Louis Vuitton Artistic Director Marc Jacobs every season.
Since 2008, the brand has continued to marry tradition & modernity by offering its personalization service called “Mon Monogram”. Always keeping to its roots, Louis Vuitton has continuously offered the possibility to personalize one’s accessory, a tradition that dates back for over century. This personalization happens by way of a painting service that was once only available to Trunks and hard-sided luggage. This made to order technique is now available for the Speedy and the Keepall.
More importantly, the Mon Monogram personalization makes your bag unique. A set of two-tone initials of up to three letters, either vertical or diagonal stripes, or through a combination of both initials and stripes that are chosen from a range of 17 different colors resulting in more than 200 million possible combinations per bag. And given the popularity of the Speedy and Keepall, the Mon Monogram service will certainly make such iconic bags stand out from the rest of the crowd.

The Mon Monogram will also solve those awkward moments at airport carousels where someone else picks up your Keepall thinking it’s their own (unless of course they have your initials and know your favorite colors). Mon Monogram is available in all Speedy Keepall travel bag sizes.
And starting as of June 1st, 2009, this service will also be extended to the iconic Pégase 55 suitcase in both classic and business versions. The stores that offer “Mon Monogram” (over 100 stores in all) feature a computer so the clients can create the “Mon Monogram” of their dream and visualize exactly how their bag will look.

Once their choice has been made their order is then sent directly to one of the Louis Vuitton workshops where their personalised unique Monogram bag is created and hand assembled.
The fabrication of the Mon Monogram can take from six to eight weeks.
