A|X Armani Exchange Launches 3-D Ad Campaign

With all the recent hype about 3-D movies, A|X Armani Exchange is among the first fashion companies to create a 3-D ad Fall Winter 2010 campaign that encompasses print, outdoor, a music video and an interactive online component on its Web site. The 3-D print ads, along with 3-D glasses, will appear in the September issues of GQ, Interview and V magazines.

At the campaign’s core is a two-and-a-half-minute 3-D music video, directed by Manny Miranda. The video is motorcycle inspired and was filmed at a Brooklyn soundstage to create a futuristic, urban-looking environment. Called “2020/Speed Style,” the video shows a guy putting on a leather jacket and motorcycle gloves and getting on his Ducati motorbike, escaping from the fiery streets above and taking refuge in a mysterious urban underdome, where he meets a beautiful woman.

He strips off his jacket and leather belt, she takes off her jacket, and they start caressing and making out. The video features a soundtrack by Body Rockers, an electro-techno-rock group. The print ads were shot by Matthew Scrivens. The cast members are Tamiris Souza Freitas and Arthur Sales.

The Armani Exchange Fall 2010 campaign was shot over three days on location on a soundstage in Brooklyn, and will launch in August, 2010.

Karl lagerfeld gives Coca Cola Light bottles a makeover

Following Kenzo, Castelbajac, and Rykiel, Coca-Cola’s latest fashion mashup has Karl Lagerfeld redesigning the famous beverage’s bottle. Karl was eager to work on the project since it’s well known that the ‘always dieting designer’ only drinks Coca Light in a crystal glass (Light, the french name for Diet coke). The new Karl Lagerfeld Coca-Cola bottle is a limited edition item (naturally) and will only be available in France starting on April 28, 2010. Bert’s, Lafayette Gourmet, La Grande Epicerie du Bon Marché. and also Colette will carry the new bottle starting as of April 24. A special kit will also be available, which features a unique bottle opener.
Coco Rocha, who shows no sign of slowing down anytime soon and whom scored this year’s Rimmel ad campaign, has cheekily been chosen by Karl Lagerfeld to present the most fashionable Coca Cola bottle ever. The ad features her in a Karl Lagerfeld Spring Summer 2010 look. look, posing alongside Baptiste Giabiconi, with a jovial smile and a lalique glass-full of Coca Light.

Icon photographer, Anton Corbijn, returns to shoot the Spring/Summer 2010 G-Star RAW campaign featuring actress and model Liv Tyler. For the campaign Liv wears pieces from the women’s Low-T mini-collection – a range designed for the strong, confident and sophisticated modern woman. Alexander Wang’s Ad Campaign Hits NYC Streets

Alexander Wang is lauching his first ever ad campaign, not in magazines but in the streets of New York. The ads photographed by Dan Jackson and featuring model Hannah Holman will appear on Monday Feb 1st 2010 downtown Manhattan. The campaign features only the T line, which is Alexander Wang’s core foundation. The designer hired National Promotions & Advertising, the agency responsible for those ubiquitous Apple iPod posters, to blanket the intersections of Third Avenue and 12th Street and Grand and Crosby, as well as random hot spots throughout the East Village and Lower East Side. The ads will be replenished once a week for four weeks.

We learned late august via LiveFashionWeek that Isabeli Fontana was being shot for the Louis Vuitton Cruise 2010 campaign by Patrich Demarchelier and styled by Carlyne Cerf De Dudzeele in the Hamptons in New York, so here is the ad!
We had the chance to be in Saint Tropez when Catherine Mcneil was shooting the Louis Vuitton Cruise 2010 Look Book, which is your favorite? Isabeli or Catherine?

Julia Restoin Roitfeld face of JIL

Julia Restoin Roitfeld, Vogue Paris Carine Roitfeld’s daughter has been chosen to be the new face of Jil the new scent by Jil Sander. Julia is known for being Carine Roitfeld daughter but also for having been art director for V Magazine, consultant for Jean Paul Gaultier and other projects.
It’s not the first time we get to see Julia Restoin Roitfeld in advertisement, for their Fall 2008 campaign Gap decided to choose Julia along with other fashion world persona such as Cecilia Dean from Visionaire.

This is a new image for Jil Sander, the brand is used to tranquil thinking mood models while Julia is smiling in the the fragrance ads, shot by Jan Welters.
“Jil is like a subtlety between a woman who seems very tough, very confident and, at the same time, a woman who is actually very feminine and fragile,” said Restoin Roitfeld. “That’s also how I feel about myself sometimes and what I wanted to show in the pictures.”
The scent will come in 30-ml., 50-ml. and 75-ml. versions for 48 euros, or $68.25 at current exchange; 68 euros, or $96.70, and 88 euros, or $125, respectively. There’s also a shower cream (200 ml. for 29 euros, or $41.25), a body lotion (200 ml. for 32 euros, or $45.50) and a deodorant spray (100 ml. for 24 euros, or $34).
This is not the first time the name Jil has been used for a Jil Sander perfume. A previous scent called Jil came on the market in 1997 but has since been discontinued.
Jil launches in Europe, Eastern Europe and Russia Sept. 9. A launch in the U.S. is tentatively planned for Spring 2010 in a limited number of doors.

We saw some pieces of the collection yesterday. Uniqlo unveiled a couple shots from the line’s new advertising campaign, which will break August 24 in GQ Japan. Shot by David Sims, it features black and white images of windswept models Sean Opry and Isabeli Fontana.
