Making of Louis Vuitton Cruise 2010 Look Book
September 17, 2009

For the Louis Vuitton Cruise 2010 collection, the LV studio packed up trunks of clothes, Catherine McNeil, a couple of cameras, and headed to the Summer jet-set capital of St Tropez. With exclusive access to the making of this gorgeous collection, we’ve got some amazing looks in mind for your next vacation.

This collection’s silhouette is all about accentuating the best parts of one’s body by keeping it short and tight. With mariner ropes for bag handles and belts, mini beach denim suits, mini polka dot skirts with navy blazers, oversized bangles, and wood platform shoes, this collection’s spirit is a nautical take on Parisian coquette-chic.

Styled with sleek hair and a subtle tan, the collection portrays a sensual woman, gazing over the horizon from her hilltop St. Tropez Villa, dressed in a camouflage tulle party dress and edgy open toe & heel boots. ‘Opulent sexy chic’ never looked so good and relaxed.

Burberry Prorsum Resort 2010 Collection
June 6, 2009

Keeping true to his modern version of the house’s story, Christopher Bailey turned out a youthful cruise lineup for Burberry Prorsum. Trenches came with ribbon appliqués, pleats and in shredded silk versions. For his day separates, there were puff sleeve blouses, slouchy pleat trousers, fine-knit cardigans and T-shirts with rolled sleeves. For feminine flair, Bailey showed ruched-bodice frocks, knits with knotted details and Regency-style puff-sleeved dresses.
In men’s wear, Christopher Bailey offered a simplified variation on his mantra of disheveled elegance that was cleansed of pattern, color and superfluous layering. Athletic-inspired outerwear tempered the poetic pauvre-chic of patchwork knits, stretched T-shirts and carrot-leg trousers.
