Deauville Villa Vuitton Store Opening

On Mai April 30 2009 Louis Vuitton re-opened its Louis Vuitton Deauville store in Normandie, France. The store has been reshaped and even received a new name: the Villa Vuitton.

Louis Vuitton celebrated the opening but also the 20th anniversary of Louis Vutton presence in Deauville. “Deauville is to Paris what the Hamptons are to New York” brags Hugues Bonnet-Masimbert, Directeur Général of Louis Vuitton France.
“Deauville is one of many france’s luxurious getaway such as St Tropez, St Morritz… The context, the atmosphere is ideal for our brand”, declared Antoine Arnault.

The 960-square-foot boutique is typical of Normandy architecture and carries accessories and leather goods over two floors. The store decoration reflect the spirit of travel, Louis Vuitton modernity and tradition.
Antoine Arnault has had the pleasure to cut the inauguration ribbon in company of french actor Antoine de Caunes and his wife Daphne Roulier.

To celebrate the opening Louis Vuitton launched a limited edition Neverfull bag with “Deauville” written in purple on the front with matching interior stripes. The Louis Vuitton “Deauville” Neverfull is only available at the Villa Vuitton in Deauville.

Eres Milan Store Opening

The Eres Milan store is set to open today in the Italian capital. The store’s location is strategic said Olivier Mauny, chief executive officer of Eres “we wanted to open a store in Milan because Milan is an important place for fashion”. The store has been designed by Georges Rabineau, who has designed all of the Eres boutiques including the NYC Madison Avenue store.
The Eres saga started in France in 1968, Irene Leroux founded the brand and all the swimwear iconic shapes that are still the brand’s best seller. Irene Leroux sold her brand to Chanel in 1997. In 1998 the Chanel group decided to add lingerie to Eres. since 2007.since then Eres is considered to be the Rolls Royce of the swimwear.
The shop will be the Chanel-owned brand’s 12th unit worldwide. In addition to six boutiques in France and four freestanding doors in the U.S., the company sells its luxury products in around 500 outlets internationally.
The brand is very well know in the US now, we went to the Spring Summer 2009 Eres x Vogue presentation and we understood why the brand is such a success. Elegant shapes, amazing fabrics define the Eres world.
Eres also hired Karlo Otto (also Diane Von Furstenberg Europe PR group) to reinforce the communication and public relations.

Diane Von Furstenberg Lands in The Hamptons

We have to be prepared to see even more wrape dresses than usual in the Hamptons starting May 1st! Diane Von Furstenberg is rumored to open her first store in the Hamptons. It will only be seasonal with a possibility to extend.
Does that sound familiar? Hermes is opening a beach store as well from May 20 to Sept. 20, 2009.
So if you’re going to the Hamptons this summer, keep in mind that you will be able to get your Rock Goddess fix or/and Get Shaded on location!

Chloé Opens a Flagship Store in Los Angeles

After 2 years of construction delays, Chloé’s new Los Angeles flagship found a perfect home on Melrose Place.
The 2,500-square-foot town-house-style boutique, full of natural light due to numerous skylights and eight-foot windows, spans two separate buildings linked by a landscaped courtyard.
“It’s a wonderful house,” said an ebullient Ralph Toledano, chairman and chief executive officer at Chloé. “It’s extremely private, extremely discreet.”
The boutique opens to the public today and will be christened April 22 with an in-store cocktail party attended by Toledano and Chloé’s creative director, Hannah MacGibbon.
It will be followed the next night by a party at Milk Studios hosted by Kate Bosworth and , Chloë Sevigny.
Hannah MacGibbon who used to work with Phoebe Philo, showed a very well received second collection for the brand during the Fall Winter 09 Collections in Paris, and Toledano Seems to be pretty happy about it.
Chloé recently opened two locations in Dubai, one in Doha, Qatar, and two in China. Coming this summer is a franchise location in Beirut.
The Melrose located store will feature accessories, jewelry, handbags, shoes and small leather goods and Ready To Wear.
The boutique carries the full range of Chloé merchandise, from silver charm bracelets for $170 and Sally handbags for $1,995 to a white summer skirt with crystal embellishment for $2,495 and a white linen dress with embroidery retailing for more than $6,000.
Toledano noted assortments would likely be skewed to cocktail and evening, including in handbags.
An upscale enclave, Melrose Place has seen high-end tenants depart recently, including Sergio Rossi and recently bankrupt Lambertson Truex, as luxury retailers continue to fall victim to the flailing economy.
The three-block stretch once commanded rents of more than $15 a square foot per month, a range that has fallen to $10 or below a square foot monthly amid the recession.
The Melrose Place store, formerly an art gallery, is the first stand-alone Chloé boutique to feature the new design concept; in-store boutiques inside Saks Fifth Avenue in New York and Beverly Hills debuted the aesthetic.

Marc Jacobs May Adopt a Baby Girl

Marc Jacobs is in Brazil top promote the opening of the first Marc Jacobs Multibrand store in São Paulo. The flagship will feature Marc Jacobs Collection, Marc By Marc Jacobs, and soon Little Marc.
Marc Jacobs’ newly opened São Paulo store is the first of its kind in Latin America. Developed in collaboration with NK Store’s Nathalie Klein, who has sold the line at her luxurious multi-brand outlet for eight years, this brick-and-mortar outpost brings a sought-after brand to Brazil’s fashion-conscious trendsetters.

In the same time he officially annouced that he is engaged with long time partner Lorenzo Martone.

One day after their arrival a party was thrown for the designer new store opening at nightclub Cantho. Marc declared “it’s the first time I get to relax for the last two months, I’m so glad to be here”. Everything was branded “Marc Jacobs” even the bottle of water.

According to gossip site Glamurama, Marc and Lorenzo plan on adopting a baby girl. They plan to stay a couple of days reaxing in Itacaré a small fisherman village located at the south of Bahia.

Giorgio Armani 5th Avenue Store Opening Party

Giorgio Armani literally landed his world on fifth avenue. For the first time in the US all the Armani brands are reunited under one roof. We were amazed by the architectural structure of the store, “these stairs are amazing” said Molly Sims while going to the upper level. Unless other brand’s store the Armani store has a very New York spirit. The designer’s 43,000-square-foot store is another symbol of the strength of his business. Although the global economy has nose-dived since the designer’s announcement to invest here a year ago, Armani has no regrets. That said, mirroring the gloomy times, he decided to nix a post-opening bash complete with a runway show and dinner,The opening party.
The top floor was crowded with all the celebrities posing with Giorgio Armani, we ran into Victoria Beckham who’s the newest face of the Emporio Armani Underwear campaign.
