Lie Sang Bong presented a futuristic woman for his Spring Summer 2010 Collection. The designer has been inspired by the classic sci-fi book series “Dune” by Frank Herbert. A few basic wardrobe pieces were reinterpreted by the Korean designer, such as a one sleeve blazer hidden under another lighter slouchy oversized blazer.

It took a minute & a good eye to determine the designer inspiration in this futuristic collection. Lie Sang Bong incorporated pieces of clothes as a trompe l’oeil in other pieces such as on this cocktail satin nude dress where we can see a jacket shoulder, colar and the sleeve as the belt.

Some pieces were more evident when the skirt was in fact a shirt adjusted as a skirt, with the colar and buttons down. A succession of looks had safety pins as decoration, while another look was a ruffle silver taffeta dress on the front and a chair plisse bodysuit on the back.
