John Bartlett is a maestro when it comes to knowing what men really want to wear. The designer delivered a fresh, clean collection for Claiborne Spring Summer 2010.

“Maritime Prep” has been the inspiration for the collection and is a celebration of the fusion of nautical and varsity styles.

Basic must have stripped polos, khaki pants are worn shorter. A succession of upgraded classic looks with a modern touch and perfect fit.

The colors: Bahama blue, mandarin, foliage and petunia purple were mixed with navy, whites  and greys.

“The collection is made for every men” said John Bartlett, the colorful part of the collection is tempered by strong basics pants with perfect fits. The greys and whites were very well styled, especially on the striped sweaters.

John Bartlett even gave his take on a chic Safari inspired look à la 2010, with a beige polka dot shirt and matching Khaki shorts.

The overall feeling you get when you see his collection is that you want it all, and more importantly, you could wear any piece. And in this economy, Bartlett’s collection is a godsend – all the pieces are mixable and nearly all under $100.
