Paul & Joe Spring Summer 2010 Collection

Wednesday October 7, 2010 – Carrousel du Louvre – Salle Le Notre

Delivering a strong collection this season, Albou provided us with an equally strong P&J persona, that of a coquettish tomboy whose beauty is a foil for her strength.

Albou took us on a mystical journey through the deserts of New Mexico with Brigitte Bardot, with Française cowgirls sporting vaquero hats and Navajo prints lighting up bags and shirts. Marrying adventurous overtones to classic feminine-wear, we were especially drawn to the polkadot saloon bustier dress, a strapless liberty-print mini-dress and a sequins patchwork tank-top dress on Carmen Kass. For those moments when you want to throw something luxurious on, but don’t want an instruction manual on how to wear it, Albou showed a relaxed washed-blue cotton sweater dress with a slouched off-the-shoulder neck. And in a nod toward the brand’s diverse and growing line of accessories, we saw many-a-model donning Paul & Joe sunglasses and beaded fringe bags that should be hits this Summer.
