California-based lifestyle brand RVCA celebrated its first collaboration with model Ashley Smith last night, Thursday, January 23rd, at ACME in New York City. RVCA founder PM Tenore joined model Ashley Smith and a diverse group of friends from across the cultural spectrum to toast Smith’s debut namesake collection. The 13-piece capsule consisting of wardrobe essentials that encapsulate the spirit of creative subculture with a dash of collegiate charm will hit retailers in Fall 2014 alongside the core RVCA collection.
Tenore and Smith were joined by artists Ryan McGinness, Steve Espo Powers, Ari Saal, Bert Krak, Brandee Brown, Brendan Lynch, Issac Brest, Jack Greer, Jeremiah Gallagher, Jeanette Hayes, Stash, Steve ESPO Powers, Todd James (aka REAS), Lucien Smith, Nick Darmstaedter, and Petra Collins.
Attendees from the fashion set included models Andrej Peji?, Kyleigh Kuhn, Lyle Lodwick and Also present were DJs Chelsea Leyland, Chrissie Miller, Hannah Bronfman, and Mia Moretti. Actress Annabelle Dexter-Jones, designers Phoebe and Annette Stephens were other notable famililar downtown NY faces who braved the 5 degree tempertature to toast Smith and RVCA. Also braving the storm were familiar faces in the NY social scene including Elizabeth Gilpin, Fiona Byrne, Genevieve Jones, Heidi Bivens, Jenne Lombardo, LeLe Saveri, Logan Horne, Lysa Cooper, Matthew Hitt, Kyle Hotchkiss-Carone, and Sabine Heller.
