Backstage Beauty at Michael Kors Spring 2016

Wednesday September 16, 2015 – Spring Studios

“There’s warmth to the skin, Michael mentioned the women photographed by Pete Lindbergh.

They have that kind of quality where you have sense of the skin. You can see freckles and textures. It’s all transparent and believable.”  Dick Page

“She’s an outdoorsy girl; she’s in convertibles,” Orlando Pita explained, teasing out a few strands, “so they fly when she’s on the runway. It’s more like an accidental beauty.”

The Michael Kors Spring 2016 beauty look Inspired by a chic road trip through the high desert, lead makeup artist Dick Page and lead hair stylist Orlando Pita brought a windswept, laid-back mood to the runway. Page accentuated the brows and dusted bronzer on the face for a natural glow, trading in lipstick for translucent lip balm. It was all about earthy elegance—not a mascara brush or eyeliner pencil in sight. To complement the pared-back makeup, Pita styled a perfectly imperfect updo to convey the artistic, bohemian attitude. In the case of Spring 2016 beauty, less really is more.
